| I am a barrister sole, and have practised in this capacity since 1 July 1991. In New Zealand independent barristers who choose to operate as Barristers sole must be briefed by a solicitor. They are not permitted to act for lay clients. If you are not a solicitor or are not represented by a solicitor you can ask the Law Society for advice on appointing a solicitor or you could email me, with a brief note of the type of problem you have. I can then provide you with contact details of a solicitor with expertise in the appropriate field who will be able to act for you, and if you wish, and the solicitor concurs, you can instruct me as counsel. |
